If I Can Give One Thing To The Philippines…

What a difficult question! There’s so much and so many things this poor country of mine needs. Before my brain blows on thinking of the most Ms.Universe-world kind of answer, I thought I need to be literal on this one. I had one in mind for so many years already, especially when rainy seasons come.

In my humble mind, if I have all the money in the world, I will give the Philippines one of the most expensive helicopter in the world! One which can save families in a short time when floods come and one which can give an airlift during times of emergencies.

I searched online and found the AugustaWestland AW101 VVIP helicopter. Was amazed with the specs and most of all, the price is mind-boggling, a whopping $21 million. It has a capacity of 30 persons excluding the pilot and a speed that’s 278 km/h. I’ve read that it was being considered to be a President’s helicopter in US.

I don’t know much about helicopters. I am a simple home maker but for me these helicopter specs will be enough to save lives.   I also know how so many personalities in the Philippines can afford to have one but the government itself can’t have.  I didn’t see these kinds of aircraft when Pablo and Yolanda came to the Philippines so I am wishing one for my own country. #GLOBEProjectWonderful2014

What about you? If there’s one thing you can give to the Philippines, what will it be? Comment and who knows you might win an iPad mini2 for yourself just by saying your wish out loud :-)

  1. That would really be cool
As for me and my husband,we vow to continue being good citizens of our country and to surpass everything that we've done the past years. If only every Filipino will be good citizens, everything will fall into place. ;)

  3. awww..this is really nice.. :) Honestly, when I first read this question I got stuck with it thinking on what really the Philippines need. Now that I read your post, somehow, I'm getting an idea on what to give the Philippines if I were given the chance :)

  4. Now that you've mentioned it, I wish I could afford a C130 plane. So that our country will have our own air craft for disastr operation--in addition to what the other helpful countries could provide.

Ah, but of course! It's all just wishful thinking. What's important is that you'll find a way to do your part to help.

  5. Hi dear, thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment :). I am not Filipino so i guess i have no say in this, but considering the-similar-condition of my own country to yours if i can have one wish for my own country that'd be a God-sent government (and president), one that will 100% think about this country rather than their own gain :)

  9. In all honesty, if I had all the money in the world, I would buy it a new government, provide renewable and sustainable energy, fix the educational system, mass transportation system, go green and imply environmental friend infrastructures, etc... LOL But on a serious note, we need change and people along with the environment is suffering. I would hate to see the day where people do not respect the government and start chaos taking matters into their own hands. IMO, seeing crime being more violent and rampant while the government do almost nothing and pocket money for themselves, people will eventually police themselves. So, going back to your question... What can we give our country? We can give it a future we all can benefit from. Be a responsible member of the society. This doesn't mean vote. It means, be responsible and do something for the future generations that will make our country a better place to live in. I thank you. bow. LOL :)) :P

  13. I was actually stumbled upon this question and there's a lot of things running in my head. So clever of you to think of helicopter. It's really a great gift for the country but I'm not so sure if we can afford as such. I hope, US can give at least one :D

  14. you know, you're right. how can so many rich people in the Philippines afford one when the government can't? this is a good one.

In my case, I shall invest in the creation of the biggest recycling machine where all the waste and garbage can go and be made into useful products.

  15. Ever since I know about myself I was always devastated when I heard about a natural disaster. That is something we can't change, but we can all contribute for the affected and help when nature strikes... But if you ask me I want world peace PLEASE! Great article thanks!
